DNN Summit 2025 Recap and DNN 10

This month’s hangout recaps highlights from DNN Summit 2025 in Las Vegas and previews DNN 10 features and changes. The group covers what to test now, what to expect at release, and how to prepare sites and modules.

Recommendations and Presentation Notes:

• 🔧 DNN 10 feature highlights: removal of deprecated APIs (since DNN 8), RC2 available—start testing now.
• 🎨 Theme & styling: dependency-free default theme (no Bootstrap/jQuery), new Styles menu with CSS variables for color customization.
• 🧑‍💼 Granular roles: Content Editor and Content Manager roles, improved permissions.
• 🗂️ Workflow & versioning: available at the page level for better editorial control.
• 🔑 Security & APIs: built-in API token management; improved DI; performance boosts.
• 🚫 UI default: popups disabled by default to reduce friction and improve UX.
• 🧱 Telerik removed: if required, use a modern licensed version externally; update any legacy dependencies.
• 🧪 Third-party devs: test modules now and adjust deprecated API usage; updated default CSS may impact older modules.
